High Pressure Water Jetting and Vacuum Combination Units
At KQ, we use the Kaiser Combination Unit for cleaning and vacuuming drains. These are high performance, versatile machines built for efficiency and power.
The trucks make use of two different actions in order to clean drains and remove blockages. A high-pressure water jetting mechanism, capable of pumping 500 litres of water per minute, is ideal for thorough and effective drain cleaning. Along with this there is also a powerful vacuum mechanism for the removal of any dislodged waste and debris. By using these two different actions together, we are able to remove obstructions, strip built up grease and dirt, and displace blockages.
How The Machine Works
To remove blockages, a high pressure hose is fed down into the drain system. The hose shoots recycled water into the system at 120kpa down the drain and onto the sides of the pipes. The water removes any obstructions ranging from roots and debris to sludge and grease. After all the obstructions have been removed, the water is then suctioned out along with any dirt and debris directly into a slurry tank on the back of the truck.
From this tank, the water is then pumped through a filter and cleaned so that it may be used again in the high pressure pump for final cleaning purposes.
